ABOUT US
Founded in 2011, our organisation aims to work towards the idea of inclusive development in Jharkhand. Our welfare projects and programs are targeted towards marginalized and underprivileged sections and their upliftment.
Being a tribal state with more than 40% of the national mineral resources, our poverty, nutrition and unemployment rate are alarming.
RUDS is a collective working towards achieving the goal of sustainable development. We make it a priority to ensure representation at all levels of policy cycle.
How do we work?
Inspire and Aspire:
Our team of zealous and trained social workers, representatives and government agencies reach out to the tribal and rural sections. Our community programs and welfare schemes locate and identify issues pertaining to the children, poor, women, Dalits, tribals, environment, healthcare and primary facilities.
A sneak peek to our work-
Germinating seeds and dreams:
Rural and urban development society(RUDS) undertook the government’s seed germination program in the rural areas of Jharkhand. The program trained farmers in Nagari village for ladyfinger and peas.
Future Projects
1) Menstrual Hygiene and Awareness Program:
Combating period poverty, addressing the stigma around periods and ensuring equal accessibility and availability of menstrual products.
